About the Ken McKenzie Award
Ken McKenzie was a big proponent of kids gaining exposure to the game of golf. His devotion to the game and junior golf was never more evident than in his $75,000 donation to the Golf Association of Ontario’s Junior Scholarship Fund in 2004, which continues to assist young student athletes pursue their goals on and off the course.

About the Christine Fisher Memorial Student Award
Christine Fisher was a dedicated volunteer with the Golf Association for many years. She was an active supporter of amateur golf in Ontario at the provincial and club level throughout her career. She was instrumental in assisting with numerous events over the years and took a real interest in Junior golf.
To recognize Christine’s contributions to golf Brian Fisher, the Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation and the GAO have developed this scholarship award. It will not only honour her memory but will ensure she is never forgotten in the golfing community.
The recipient of this award shall be a female golfer who demonstrates exceptional academic background, success in golf at the local, provincial and national level, participates in extra curricular activities and gives back to the sport community in some way.

About the Craig Revell Scholarship
To the Golf Association of Ontario, Craig Revell represented what the game is all about. As a player he achieved tremendous heights,’and as a person he demonstrated respect for the game, for the underlying foundations of the game and for all who are involved in the game. While we will all miss his presence at every level of the game – local up to international – perhaps through this scholarship award’we can ensure that he is not forgotten
Presenting an annual Scholarship in Craig’s name represents the fact that he not only achieved success on the golf course but also in all facets of his life. He recognized that achieving academic success was very important in maximizing future options.
Revell’s talent will be sadly missed by the golfing community he dearly loved. Revell once had a promising golf career ahead of him when he left Kingston in the fall of 2003 to attend Michigan State University on a golf scholarship. Craig’s golf resume includes a number of celebrations including winning the 2001 Junior Tournament of Champions and the Juvenile Tournament of Champions. 2002 saw him win the Ontario Junior Championship, and he would place third in the 2003 Ontario Men’s Amateur and be selected for the Willingdon Cup team while still of Junior age. Craig also began his College career at Michigan State by winning the first Collegiate event he competed in.

About the Helena Harbridge Scholarship
Helena Harbridge of Etobicoke began her golfing career at age ten at Scarlett Woods Golf Course, playing alongside her older brother Daniel. Within a few years, she developed into one of the top junior golfers in Ontario. She won the TDCAA High School Girls Regional Championship in 2004, and won numerous CJGA events, culminating in the 2004 CJGA Order of Merit. She also competed successfully in GAO events and two Toronto Star Women’s Amateurs.
In 2005, Helena left home to attend the University of West Georgia on an athletic scholarship where, as a freshman, she established herself as the ’heart and spirit’ of the women’s fledgling golf program. She was the first UWG woman to win a golf tournament, and led the team to three wins its very first year.
Helena battled through health problems early in life but did not let them deter her from pursuing her goals on and off the course. She was a hard worker and supported herself in golf by working at Humber Valley and her beloved Weston Golf and Country Club. She always dreamed of getting a U.S. scholarship so she could combine golf and her education and did just that. She was an Ontario Scholar at Bishop Allen Academy, made the Dean’s List at UWG, and was on target to achieve a 4.0 GPA and become an Academic All-American.
Although her death was unexpected and untimely, she will never be forgotten. This scholarship will be awarded to a student athlete who has overcome adversity to reach their goals on and off the golf course. This award, named in Helena’s honour, will help perpetuate her legacy of hard work, perseverance and dedication to become one of Ontario’s top junior golfers.
