Ada MacKenzie Matches

This is an annual two day senior women's match play team event for Ontario vs. UpperNew YorkState. The tournament is usually held in May each year and the teams alternate in hosting the event. Each team consists of their top ten senior women golfers. Team Ontario is comprised of the top ten eligible finishers from the prior year's Investors Group Senior Women's Amateur Championship. The format for this competition consists of two rounds. First day is an afternoon competition, Chapman format, and the second day is a morning Better Ball. These matches have been conducted since 1960.

The 2018 Ada Mackenzie Matches will be hosted by Ontario in Mississauga, Ontario at Toronto Golf Club on May 29-30. 2018 will mark the 58th playing of the event, named after Canadian amateur golf legend Ada Mackenzie. A Canadian and Ontario Golf Hall of Fame member, Mackenzie won every major golf championship across Canada including four Canadian Open Championships and six Canadian Closed (Canadian citizens only) Championships as well as a multitude of provincial titles. She was also the driving force in establishing the Ladies Golf Club of Toronto in 1924 as the only private golf club for women in North America.
