Uxbridge, ON – Golf Ontario’s next provincial championship will host the youngest of the aspiring golfers in Ontario. As we head down to wine country from August 30th to 31st, Sawmill Golf Course is thrilled to be hosting the 7th annual Ontario Peewee (U13) Boys’ and Girls’ Championship.
The beautiful course located on the roots of an old dairy farm is characterized by gently rolling hills, deciduous forests, and two meandering creeks. Designed by Gord Witteveen and Nicol Thompson, the Sawmill course opened for play in 1976 and has been family-owned and operated ever since. The Julie’s, “are absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Ontario Peewee Championship,” expressed Carrie Julie. “We hosted the Ontario Bantam Championship three years ago and the energy that the players brought, coupled with the support from our members made us jump at the chance to host another Championship. Get ready for a warm Sawmill welcome and very enthusiastic volunteers.”
