Coaches:

Jeff Overholt: Team York Regional Coach

B. Sc, PGA of Canada, TPI, PGA of Canada Class “A” Professional

 

Jeff has spent the past three years working as a member of the IST with Team Ontario and is excited to transition to the Head Coach of Team York. Jeff is also the Head Coach of the Toronto North Junior Golf Development Centre. Jeff brings a unique skill set to his students as a leader in both the area of junior golf development and strength & conditioning. As a PGA of Canada Class “A” member and certified coach for New Competitors, Jeff has worked with many of the provinces best competitive junior golfers over the past 8 years. Jeff has his undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa and has multiple certifications geared toward youth athlete development from the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) and International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA). Most recently Jeff was recognized as the 2013 Coach of the Year by the PGA of Ontario.

 

Dr. Nick Martichenko:  Team York Strength and Conditioning Consultant                  

 

Dr. Martichenko has an extensive background and obvious passion for golf.  He played four years of NCAA Division I golf at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh PA.  Since that time his connection with golf has continued to evolve, earning a Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree, becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, obtaining Titleist Performance Institute Certification and working with numerous excellent golf coaches and junior development programs.  Dr. Martichenko currently works privately at Peak Performance Golf in Vaughan and is also the Strength and Conditioning for the GAO Team Ontario program.  Nick has also had involvement with Tennis Canada as Strength and Conditioning consultant. He is excited to be joining Team York this year as their Strength and Conditioning Consultant and looks forward to working with the Team York athletes.
